Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus: Leaks, Launch, Rumours

A couple months back, Samsung launched its flagship devices Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. These devices were brilliantly built and are on the list of Top 5 smartphones of 2017. In terms of performance, Camera quality, looks, and design both the devices are just outstanding. Now this year, the company is all set to launch their new flagship devices in the Galaxy series which are Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus. Here, we are going to tell you about the Leaks, Launch date and Rumours of S9 and S9 plus.

Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus Launch Date

Both the devices are going to launch on 25th February. They are rolling out the event invites. You can see the invite below in which they mentioned the number 9 which basically relates to the name of their new Galaxy devices which are going to be S9 and S9 Plus. On the other hand, there is one thing also written on the invite which is “The Camera Reimagined”.

That means Samsung is going to make bigger changes in the Camera section of their new flagships S9 and S9 Plus. We will talk about the camera changes later.

Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus Leaks

As the launch date is nearby, there are several leaks and rumors out there about both the flagships. There are so many trusted sources like SlashleaksOnleaks, Evleaks etc. which are leaking the device’s specs and design. Let’s start with the battery capacity of both the devices. The Galaxy S9 will come with 3000mAh battery and the Galaxy S9 Plus will come with 3500mAh battery.

There will be a USB type-C charging port for both the devices and they will support fast-charging as well like the S8 and S8 plus. The leak also shows its Camera module and the redesigned fingerprint sensor. Well, it is a good thing now, that the company think about the placement of the fingerprint sensor. As on the S9 and S9 Plus, the company is going to place the fingerprint sensor below the rear camera.

According to the recent leaks, the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 plus are going to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor in US and China and the Samsung Exynos 9810 processor in rest of the countries including India.

The Camera Reimagined: Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus

As on the company’s official invite, it is confirmed that the Cameras of both the flagships are going to be extraordinary. Now talking about the leaks in the Camera department of the devices which makes the camera of S9 and S9 Plus different from others.

There is a new ISOCELL module which uses Samsung’s Tetra cell technology for enhancing the low-light images. Apart from that, the Cameras may have the variable aperture which is a highlight of the Camera module. The rear camera may have a f/1.5 aperture lens. The variable aperture can be of f/1.5 to f/2.4 which can provide the DSLR-like capabilities.

A recent leak of the retail box of Samsung Galaxy S9 shows that the smartphone will feature a single 12-megapixel rear Camera. It will have the “Super Speed” camera technology, a “Super Slow-mo” mode and the Optical Image Stabilization(OIS). There is also an 8MP selfie camera on the front. The box shows the presence of AKG-tuned stereo speakers and AKG-tuned earphones. Also, the device is going to have a 5.8-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED bezel-less display.
