RealMe 2 with Fingerprint Sensor and Display Notch Launched in India

RealMe, which was earlier a sub-brand of Oppo has recently separated from it to form an independent brand in the Indian market. Earlier, the brand launched RealMe 1 in the Indian market which receives a lot of appreciation from the Indian market. This time, RealMe has come up with a new smartphone in the market which is supposed to be the successor of RealMe 1. Today, they have launched the RealMe 2 at an event in New Delhi confirming that it is not the successor of the previous RealMe 1. The brand clears the doubt about the device that it is not going to be the successor of RealMe 1. Well, they are planning to launch another device in the upcoming month which is going to be the RealMe 2 Pro. So we can say that the RealMe 2 Pro is going to be the successor of RealMe 1.

What’s new in RealMe 2?

The RealMe 2 is a new device from the brand comes with a display-notch and a fingerprint sensor. Both were not present on the earlier one so that makes it different from RealMe 1.

The RealMe 2 comes with a 4,230mAh battery which is more than the battery capacity of RealMe 1. Also, this time the device features a dual-camera setup on the back as well. So we can say that the device is different from the RealMe 1.

RealMe 2 Specifications

RealMe 2 comes with an octa-core Snapdragon 450 SoC which is not as good compared to the previous RealMe 1 which comes with MediaTek Helio P60 processor. The device comes with 3GB RAM/ 32GB storage and 4GB RAM/ 64GB storage variants. The storage can be expandable up to 256GB via a micro-SD card. The RealMe 2 is a dual-sim VoLTE smartphone which supports 4G network on both slots.

RealMe 2 sports a 6.2-inch HD+ display with a notch above making it the first device under this budget segment with the presence of a “Notch”. Well, the display is not good as compared to the RealMe 1.  The device runs ColorOS 5.1 on top of Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box.

But, the RealMe 2 is launched in India for those people who want a premium looking device in the low-budget segment. Overall, the device performs decently.
